doctor dermatocosmetologist, Kyiv

М.А.: Anna, you are a doctor in the third generation. Is it a certain load or additional opportunities for you? What's it like?

А.: This is a big responsibility, because when you set certain milestones for yourself of what you want to achieve, and you understand that you must be better, you must be better every day - this is a good motive to move on, this gives you maximum energy to turn off the mountains

М.А.: How many years have you been in cosmetology? What was your professional path like?

А.: Уabout 10 years, but was it light or heavy - this is a subjective feeling of a person. If this burden is within his power, then all is well. If he takes a little more in order to measure his strength, then in any case he will be more enduring. Therefore, if we talk about the professional path, I am very glad that at one time I came across like-minded people on the professional path who helped create projects, helped to look at things a little differently, and in any case, we learn from each person , we take something necessary and important for ourselves from people, which is why they come into our lives and why they stay with us. The question of shared values is very important here. If people are close to your level of values, naturally very cool and very worthwhile things can turn out..

01.jpg М.А.: Who are your associates? Who can you call your mentor?

А.: If we talk about our doctors, then these are all our masters who are now engaged in aesthetics. We learned from them. Now they are all working in this direction, but nevertheless, the knowledge and the message that was given initially, it seems to me, formed a generation of new specialists. If we talk about personal growth and development, then I want to say thanks to Galina Vladimirovna Favorskaya, this is the person whose opinion I listen to very much, since such moments as a view from the outside are very important. When we see a situation one-sidedly and there is a person who can give advice and evaluate from the outside, this is a very big ally.

М.А.: How has the cosmetology market changed from the moment you came to cosmetology to the present day? Is the market and patient needs changing as well?

А.: It certainly has changed, as everything grows and develops, and it is natural that the aesthetic market has changed as well. Specialists now have much more opportunities: this is the opportunity for training, this is the absence of any framework in terms of the exchange of international experience, this is the use of equipment that is quite effective and productive. Therefore, now it seems to me, on the one hand, it is easier for specialists to work, since they can give a lot to the patient without resorting to radical manipulations. But on the other hand, such a moment as the regulation of these processes is very important here, I mean on the legislative basis. We really expect this when there will be standards, protocols, when all this will be regulated in the sense that there are certain specialties that must deal with some kind of manipulation, there are those specialties for which there are certain restrictions. If these rules are followed, then only the patient wins..

М.А.: What do grateful patients tell you most often?

А.: Aesthetic medicine is very close to life. Such concepts as happiness, love, friendship cannot be measured. Nevertheless, we can say that those people who are engaged in improving their appearance, those people who are constantly growing and developing, these are just our patients, because they improve inside, they improve outside, and we improve with them. Those patients who found this path for themselves, they naturally became happy and made their doctors happy, because for a doctor who works by vocation, it is very important how much he could help.

People who are prone to empathy and sympathy can choose the profession of a doctor. Patients also feel this empathy. If we are talking about the choice of specialists, then this is always an intuitive feeling, that is, when a patient comes, he must first talk with the doctor and decide how close he is to what this specialist can give him. And then proceed to the aesthetic effects. Because this contact, this trust is a very important component. If patients are at the same time with the doctor, then there are already two of them in the struggle for beauty.

М.А.: Describe yourself in two words.

А.: When there is some kind of first acquaintance with patients, they say that Anna Valentinovna, you create the impression of a very strict person, the impression that everything is very clearly defined and everything is clearly planned for you. In fact, it comes with some effort. Because I think that in terms of the manner of communication and for some internal moments, I am still more of an open person..

02.jpg М.А.: Are your patients becoming friends?

А.: Of course, if we say that most of our patients are our friends, well, it's great that this happened. This means that the relationship has become warmer, as trusting as possible, but nevertheless, we are talking about the fact that I, for example, those people who are my relatives, acquaintances or girlfriends, do not carry out aesthetic procedures, this is a fundamental issue, since it includes a personal moment that can affect the professional result.

М.А.: What is the degree of trust of patients to doctors?

А.: I want to say that we also accept foreign patients and often people are very satisfied: they are satisfied with our cosmetologists, they are satisfied with our doctors of aesthetic medicine, plastic surgeons. This is because the level of professionalism of the specialists who work for us is quite high. It meets international standards. Our doctors are more sensitive, they can win over a person, they can give him more, advise, recommend, not because it is within the framework of some kind of consultation, but precisely because they want to bring something good into the life of this person and Kind. And therefore, patients who come, for example, for laser resurfacing, which are popular in the States, Altera technology, and compare attitude, professionalism, and sometimes the price segment, which also matters. Naturally, they then remain our regular customers.

М.А.: Do you trust intuition?

А.: Undoubtedly. I want to say that for doctors this is also a skill that develops in connection with professional activities. Sometimes they ask a question, for example, how much a person is a believer. I want to say that life then makes you believe in some higher powers, and even in miracles, because this happens regardless of whether it can be logically substantiated or not.

М.А.: What is happiness for you? Can we call you a happy person?

А.: МYou can, because the most important thing for me is my family, those close people who support me. This is my husband, these are my sons, and if there are cases when, purely feminine, you can give some kind of slack, then I know that the rear will not let you down. I also have the opportunity to communicate with a huge number of amazing people and this is really a very big plus. And if we can transfer our work, our skills, our good undertakings to someone else, then naturally happiness is also manifested in this, this means a person is in demand, a person has found his destiny and this makes him happy.

М.А.: Tell us about your hobbies.

А.: In my free time, if I organize it, which happens not so often, I go in for sports. Patients in this regard are also very invigorating. For example, physical activity, travel, communication with pleasant interesting people - this is all that allows you to accumulate energy so that we can then use it for a good cause. So these are the hobbies. Sometimes I also write poetry, according to my mood.

03.jpg М.А.: Your husband's hobby is traveling. Are you keeping him company?

А.: I don’t make a company yet, I’m mentally always there on these trips, this is actually a big test, I understand that for any person, for a man it is very important how much a person can go through certain difficulties, can test himself and become stronger. Upon returning from these trips, values, priorities change, some kind of energy, strength is added in order to move forward and achieve your goals. These tests are very hardening..

М.А.: Are you planning to keep him company?

А.: I would love to make it up, just now, for family reasons, my mother is needed at home, so I think that in the future it may be some kind of family trip. There are such plans.

М.А.: Tell about your family.

А.: The eldest son is now studying marketing and branding at the university, this is now a very popular direction. Recently I came across such a publication that branding and marketing in the medical field are specialties that will be quite popular and in demand over the next decade. And the youngest is now preparing for school, so he still has everything ahead, but he is determined. I think that it will also achieve certain goals. No one has yet decided on a medical specialty, but it is possible that a generation is growing up, we will see.

М.А.: Would you like them to follow in your footsteps?

А.: On the one hand, it would be nice enough that the dynasty continues. On the other hand, I understand that this is very hard work, and this choice must be conscious, that is, it must be a meaningful approach and a person must make a decision on his own.

М.А.:Returning to patients, how do requests change over the years?

А.: Slightly change. They want a more harmonious look, more natural, more natural. And in this regard, this trend, which emerged a couple of years ago - the face and body untouched by the hand of a specialist, now it is being fully realized. Now it is fashionable when a person does not say on his face that he has done something, ranging from plastic surgery to some kind of aesthetic interventions. And it says that the person is beautiful, that he is successful, that he is self-confident.

There are interesting studies on botulinum toxin and physiognomy, when a person relaxes the muscles that are responsible for negative emotions, he becomes kinder, he becomes more positive. By the principle of feedback, such mechanisms work here. Therefore, I think that the number of kind and positive people has increased due to our work..

М.А.: If you had a superpower, what would it be?

А.: As a child, I wanted to be able to heal by putting my hand on a person. No pain, no fear, all is well. At a more mature age, I wanted to be able to read people's thoughts, I would probably learn a lot of interesting and new things.

М.А.: If you could ban something, what would it be?

А.: I would ban any conflicts and wars, because this is a big destruction for the planet as a whole, and for humanity.

М.А.: Do you have any rituals or habits that you repeat every day? What is the secret of your beauty?

А.: There are no special rituals, just every beautician knows how to do certain things correctly. We recently got into a conversation with a patient and discussed this issue. She asked a counter question: “Doctor, how do you do make-up removal? From the inner corner of the eye to the outer? I replied: “Do you know how it turns out. If you come home late, then not always. I know how to do something right, but there are things when you can break the usual regime a little, and then return to it. Therefore, there is an understanding that healthy habits, the right way of life, physical activity, mental activity - all that prolongs a person's longevity. If we pay attention to this and do it with our right habits on a daily basis, then we are giving ourselves a great gift for the future.

М.А.: Which of your practice mistakes are most often made by women in self-care?

А.: Perhaps I communicate with the category of very knowledgeable women, but they don’t make any systemic mistakes. On the one hand, it is very good that the media in our country are very targeted at informing us how to do everything right. Sometimes conflicting information comes in, but nevertheless, each one finds his own way in the end, so often the patient comes even with specific questions, for example, how fillers differ from each other, how ultrasound techniques differ from laser, they study the physics of processes. In fact, this is a very correct thing, because the more a person is informed, the less harm he can do to himself.

М.А.: Are you dependent on public opinion?

А.: This is a rather interesting question, since it is impossible to live in society and be free from society, especially at the present time, when social networks are very popular. This is the reverse side of our profession, if we want to convey information about ourselves, about what we are doing to help people, naturally we will meet with the appearance of a certain circle of ill-wishers and this is also natural. Therefore, the only question here is how much a person reacts to some attacks addressed to him. If a person is harmonious and self-sufficient, then I think that this is not a problem for him. You can’t help but depend on public opinion, but nevertheless, if you react to it correctly, you can turn any situation in your favor.

М.А.: Are there any stereotypes that you adhere to?

А.: Of course, every person has stereotypes, and during our life we try to somehow fight against this, destroy stereotypes both professionally, because there are a lot of moments, and in personal communication too, so here it is work on ourselves. There are stereotypes, but you need to try to work with them.

М.А.: What do people ask you most often?

А.: If it concerns the professional sphere - how to maintain beauty, how to prolong youth, how to maintain one's health, that is, these are questions with which the patient naturally turns to the doctor. Despite the fact that our segment is mostly healthy people, nevertheless, health also needs to be maintained and maintained, then this is a very good start for the future.

М.А.: What is a complete waste of time for you?

А.:A waste of time is an analysis of some situations and a clarification of relationships that do not have any prospects for the future, that is, if a person reasonably approaches all events and phenomena, then I think that he is able to simply cut off negative things from himself and , after analyzing the situation, do not get into any more stories.

М.А.: What brings you sincere joy?

А.: Children bring me real joy. These are absolutely amazing creatures, I mean not only my children, but children in general, because they perceive this world differently. For them, any insignificant phenomenon, event, is a holiday, or vice versa, some kind of severe shock. And this emotionality, this openness, this sincerity is what people lose during their lives. This is wrong, but it is natural, because an adult still tries to stay within certain limits. Communicating with children, we remove these frames and return again to childhood, to sincerity and openness. I think this should be taught to children.

М.А.: Advice for beginners?

А.: The main advice is not to chase money. Here is a very complex matter - health and beauty, so if a person tries to realize himself in this direction and tries to be useful, then these material benefits will be compensated in any case, all moral costs will also be compensated. Therefore, it is not worth focusing on money here. You need to set other goals for yourself.

М.А.: You are a partner of Merz Aesthetics in Ukraine. Why did you choose this company?

А.: In terms of our concept and the values that Merz Aesthetics brings to patients, we are very close to this company, so I want to say that the mission is important here. Merz Aesthetics gives patients the best we can offer in aesthetics, safe, so here we are on the way.

М.А.: If we talk about the drugs that you use in your work. Now there are a lot of drugs on our market. How do you feel about such an abundance and how can doctors not make a mistake in choosing?

А.: Abundance in our latitudes is usually viewed positively, and legibility must be approached very intelligently, since not all preparations based on hyaluronic acid are equally useful (to paraphrase advertising), but here the question is whether there is any engagement of a specialist by certain companies, I do not always welcome this, because there must always be a certain objectivity, and the patient, together with the specialist, must have a choice, even for the proposed alternative. Therefore, what is abundant is good, let there be more good things, quality things, safe things, this is also good enough for specialists, but in terms of a selective approach, this should be very strict.

М.А.: How do you think, how will the aesthetic market of Ukraine develop further? What are you missing, what would you like?

А.: The aesthetic market of Ukraine is developing at lightning speed, almost like iPhones appear, because there are practically no borders, now everything is very cosmopolitan: you can travel, visit colleagues in different countries, develop, learn from experience, share this experience with colleagues. There are categories of specialists who like to talk about what they are doing, there are categories of specialists who do something every day, but talk to a lesser extent. But nevertheless, there are some things, tools that you can always take into service in order to do something better and make something more interesting. Therefore, development will go on, but there is no need to make sudden movements here, because, returning to the issue of high-tech equipment, clinical studies should be carried out. Professionals who use such unique tools must be sure that it is as safe as possible. The principle of "do no harm" should have come first. In aesthetics, something can be achieved gradually and smoothly, not in one day or one month, but if it is potentially dangerous for the patient's health, then this is unacceptable.

М.А.: Share your professional chips?

А.: There are no professional features, but there are such moments when people are not quite comfortable discussing some of their features, so we can switch focus and discuss a doctor, for example, or some public person (discuss in the good sense of the word). That is, a person has certain accents, which are paid attention not only in themselves, but also in those around them, and then it is very easy to find out the need, what exactly this person wants. The desire to change aesthetically always has deeper roots. There is a certain motive that drives, and this is often not related to aesthetics at all. It can be either some kind of professional growth and development, personal motives, anything, and of course we cannot directly ask this question, but then a little bit a person opens up and we find out these things. And if everything worked out for a person, then we are also involved in this, naturally this gives maximum satisfaction from the work done
