How do injectable lipolytics work?
Fat stored in fat cells exists as triglyceride molecules. When lipolytic injections are administered, they trigger a chemical reaction inside the fat cell, breaking down triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol
These smaller molecules are then naturally eliminated from the body through metabolic processes, resulting in a gradual reduction of fat deposits in treated areas.
Indications:
- body contour correction
- cellulite reduction
- correction of fat accumulation in problem areas
- double chin correction
- improving aesthetic results after liposuction
- reducing small fat deposits in the eye area and eyelids
- enhancing the results of face and neck lifts
Contraindications:
- allergy or intolerance to the components/li>
- Liver or kidney disease
- endocrine disorders
- oncology
- epilepsy
- varicose vein disease
- autoimmune diseases
- blood clotting disorders
- tendency to form scars
- gallstones (cholelithiasis)
- diabetes mellitus
- allergic reaction to soybeans
- is not allowed to use for children, pregnant women and or breastfeeding mothers.
- collagenosis, liver and kidney disease, chronic infectious diseases.
Does lipolysis hurt?
The level of discomfort during lipolytic injections varies from person to person, depending on individual pain sensitivity. Some patients experience only mild discomfort, while others may find the procedure more intense. To minimize discomfort, we use numbing creams before the procedure, ensuring a more comfortable experience.
How many lipolysis treatments are needed?
The number of sessions required depends on the treatment area and individual goals. Typically, a full course consists of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart for optimal results. Visible improvements usually appear after the first few treatments, with progressive fat reduction over time.
What are the possible complications?
While lipolysis is a safe and minimally invasive procedure, some individuals may experience temporary side effects, including:
- inflammation at the injection site
- redness and rash
- temporary thickening of the treated area
- mild fever
- bruising
- changes in muscle tissue (rare)
These reactions are usually mild and resolve on their own within a few days.
What is not recommended after the procedure?
To ensure the best results and minimize side effects, follow these post-procedure guidelines: avoid steam baths, hot showers, and solariums for at least 3 days, refrain from alcohol consumption during this period, as it may affect the metabolism of fat breakdown products.

OPINION OF SPECIALISTS
Aesthetic Doctor Anna
Total Concept Aesthetics, Dublin
Injection lipolysis is a method for localized fat correction. It is not a substitute for a healthy diet or exercise and does not remove large volumes of fat.
