How has the competitive environment in the capital market of aesthetic medicine changed over the past two years?

The recent crisis years have not become an insurmountable obstacle for investors. In recent years, several centers of aesthetic medicine have appeared in Kyiv. That is, the market is gradually becoming competitive, and patients benefit primarily from this. I think that the segment of aesthetic medicine in Ukraine will develop with the involvement of foreign investors.

Now the development of aesthetic medicine in general and our clinic in particular is supported by domestic investments. There can be no massive influx of investors in this direction, because the niche is very specific.

What factors are currently influencing the segment of private aesthetic services?

Most often, this is a request formed in society and a fashion for certain changes in appearance. Perhaps this factor is not always positive, but it affects the aesthetic services segment. People, especially women, are very influenced by fashion.

Some come to the clinic because they want to be like certain public figures, those who have changed their appearance thanks to this or that technology, and got good results.

In addition, seasonality affects the work of aesthetic medicine centers. In particular, before the beach season, there is a growing demand for body correction services (cellulite treatment, body modeling, volume reduction with shock wave therapy, Vellashape III, Ultratone devices, etc.).

In the crisis years of 2014-2015 Has the demand for your Center's services been declining?

During the crisis, we began to use two new technologies - Fraxel and Ultherapy, which turned out to be very popular. The Ultherapy technique (the only non-surgical technology for the restoration of the eyelids, the oval of the face and neck with a confirmed result) allows a person to get good results comparable to the results of plastic surgery, without a long and noticeable rehabilitation process. That is, by doing everyday activities, without changing their rhythm of life, patients significantly improve their appearance. These changes occur gradually and harmoniously.

That is, when purchasing new equipment, it was difficult for you to predict how much it will be in demand?

Now we can say with confidence that the risks were justified. The use of new technology has attracted public people to the Center, the category of patients who always need to look good.

Has the investment in these technologies already paid off?

Yes. With a good load, the average payback of equipment is one and a half to two years.

What services is the Center actively developing now?

We are developing the direction of rehabilitation. We accustom patients to the idea that being healthy is much easier and more profitable, we talk about the importance of prevention. Observation by a rehabilitation specialist is a guarantee of good physical shape. Moreover, rehabilitators help both those who are engaged in fitness, and those who are not active.

These specialists make it possible to qualitatively improve the condition of the body and the musculoskeletal system with the help of physiotherapy procedures - shock wave therapy, laser, ultrasound - without the use of drugs. If before the directions of rehabilitation were presented only for a narrow circle of people, including athletes, now they are available to everyone.
